Dr. Umesh R. Hodeghatta is a distinguished Engineer, Scientist, and Educator. He currently holds a faculty position at Northeastern University in Massachusetts, USA. Dr. Hodeghatta's areas of specialization include AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Big Data Analytics, and Cyber Security.

With over 25 years of professional experience, Dr. Hodeghatta has held technical and senior management positions at reputable organizations such as Wipro, McAfee, Cisco Systems, and AT&T Bell Laboratories. He holds a master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from Oklahoma State University, USA, and a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. His research interests revolve around leveraging AI and Machine Learning to enhance information security within organizations, leveraging his expertise in Information Security and Machine Learning.

Dr. Hodeghatta has contributed his services to many professional organizations and regulatory bodies. Recently Dr.Hodeghatta was awarded a grant from the Spaceport consortium. The goal of this project is to improve techniques for collecting and analyzing data on wild blueberry plant physiology using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
